Happy Anniversay

So we have made it 12 years and still are loving life. Greg and I celebrated our anniversary this weekend. We went and stayed at the Marriott downtown (I know it is not far but it was great). We have never just gone and walked around the Old Market. It was so neat. There are some great shops and we went to dinner and out for desert. We also found the walking bridge right next to the Lewis and Clark visitors center that connects Iowa and Nebraska. It was just a great weekend to reconnect and get away for a little while. We are blessed with three great kids and a dog :) We especially are blessed with great family and friends near and far who love and support our family.
I had Greg take a picture of me and my banana split. It was so humongous and so yummy. It was a hot day so it tasted even better. I am going to have to seriously work off some calories this week.

Centris Baseball

Sierra and Grandma Denos

Pam is loving her hot dog! She is not much of a hot dog fan because she thinks they are made of horses bums but I convinced her they aren't :) Here she is with her delicious meal.

Ms. Pam spoils my kids and took them to pick something out at the Royal store. So they came back with each a bat and a baseball. Pam is great and they are spoiled by her.

The past couple of years we have gone to members night with Centris Federal Credit Union at the Omaha Royals game. It was very hot this night but the kids were spoiled by grandma with cotton candy, soda and way too much sugar. So much that we were worried Sierra wasn't going to make it.

Fourth Fun

Sierra giving me a Happy Birthday hug

Greg looks really hard every year for a different kind of cake to make for my birthday. He is awesome about making the day special. He did a great job this year with this one. It is pound cake with a cream and strawberry filling and a very chocolate topping that he made. It was yum!

I love the fourth of July and not only because it's my birthday. We have such a wonderful family and tons of friends to share it with. We had so many people here this year that unfortunately I didn't get everyone's pictures. It is great to spend the day with so many people we love. I have to say though the very best part of the day was when Shawn threw some firecrackers in a bucket and they started going off and shooting everywhere that my dad had to duck for cover across the street with his hands over his head. I will forever have that image in my head and be bummed I didn't have my camera with me. I laughed so hard I swore I was going to pee my pants.

Life Being a Robbins

Gabe and Zach in the tank

Sierra had such fun swimming a long the tanks

Jason and I floating a long, this is one of the moments Jason wasn't throwing grapes at the other tanks.

Sammy and Grandpa sharing a love I think this was after Grandpa had thrown him over.

So being part of the Robbins family can sometimes (okay all the time) be an adventure. I don't know many families that would get excited about floating down a river in a bunch of horse troughs (I don't know if that is spelled right). It was a gloomy day but that didn't keep us from driving three hours and then another two hours floating down the river and another three hour drive home. It was definitely an adventure and one that will not be forgotten. And of course for every adventure the Robbins take T-shirts have to be made.

Coco Keys

We took the kids to Coco keys at the beginning of the summer which is an indoor water park. The kids absolutely loved it. We went with Tori and Shawn and baby Brynna who didn't like the water so much but looked really cute in her bathing suit. Above is the kids on the lazy river with daddy holding on.

Sammy couldn't get enough of these little water slides. He was like the energizer bunny just going down again and again.

Zoo

Looks like Gabe found some relatives

It is always fun to take a few hours and go down to the zoo to see what is going on. We love having a pass so we can go anytime we want. The kids love going to the gorillas and seeing all the big cats.

Demonstration

Sammy doing his forms

Gabe and Sam did a demonstration for Champion Sport Karate before the Papillion Days parade. They each got to get up there and demonstrate different things. Sammy is showing off his kicks with mam and Gabe got to demonstrate his forms and weapons. It was a lot of fun to see they perform and the crowd was great!

Cheer Clinic

Sierra and her cousin Ashley who is on the Varsity Cheerleading squad at Papio South

Sierra with her pom pom's before the parade

Sierra was able to attend the cheer clinic that the squads put on each year from Papio South. Ashley is a varsity cheerleader on the squad and taught Sierra some of her moves and a few cheers. They get t-shirts and pom pom's and a whole bunch of other cool stuff and get to march in the parade. Sierra had a great time!!
